Required Ingredients:

Cooking spray
3 quarts of cold water
⅓ cup of balsamic vinegar
¼ cup of salt
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon of dried th
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
8 cloves of garlic, minced
A pinch of salt
3 tablespoons of olive oil (or as needed)
1 tablespoon of freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons of red pepper flakes (or to taste)
4 pounds of chicken wings, separated at the joints (tips discarded)
2 tablespoons of fine bread crumbs
1 cup of finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (divided)
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and generously coat it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

In a large stockpot, bring the cold water, balsamic vinegar, 1/4 cup of salt, bay leaf, thyme, oregano, and rosemary to a boil. This aromatic mixture will infuse the wings with flavor.

Carefully add the chicken wings to the boiling mixture and allow them to cook for 15 minutes. This step ensures that the wings are partially cooked and tender before baking.

Using a slotted spoon, transfer the parboiled chicken wings to a cooling rack. Let them rest for 15 minutes to allow excess moisture to evaporate and the wings to dry.

Meanwhile, in a mortar and pestle, mash the minced garlic cloves with a pinch of salt until you achieve a smooth paste. The salt helps break down the garlic and enhances its flavor.

In a large bowl, combine the mashed garlic, olive oil, freshly ground black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create a flavorful marinade for the wings.

Add the partially dried chicken wings and the fine bread crumbs to the bowl with the marinade. Toss the wings gently, ensuring each one is evenly coated with the flavorful mixture.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup of finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the wings, evenly distributing it to enhance the nutty Parmesan flavor.

Transfer the coated chicken wings to the prepared baking sheet, arranging them in a single layer. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the wings to create a delicious cheesy crust.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the wings for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. The high heat will help achieve that desirable crunch.

Serve the hot and fragrant Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings as a mouthwatering appetizer, allowing your guests to savor the bold flavors and textures. Alternatively, pair them with a fresh side salad for a more substantial and satisfying main course. Don't forget to offer additional Parmesan cheese on the side for those who can't resist an extra sprinkle. Enjoy the delightful combination of garlic and Parmesan in every bite, pleasing even the most discerning garlic and cheese enthusiasts.
